چکیده
Purpose When multiple children are asked about the same event, consistency of their reports may be used as a heuristic for credibility. Little research has considered how consistent child co-witnesses likely to be. In this study, we explored were report details from mutually experienced event. Methods Pairs participated in an educational science event during which target attempted coax into breaking preestablished rules session (i.e., commit transgressions). Children individually interviewed experience on two subsequent occasions. Results Co-witnesses tended quite inconsistent: 32%–55% all recalled only mentioned by one co-witness. Various factors associated with co-witness consistency, including delay before interview, centrality recalled, and children's age forthcomingness. Conclusions The findings indicate that inconsistency between reflects natural memory phenomenon, practitioners should cautious using indicator

How do jurors argue with one another?
We asked jurors awaiting trial assignment to listen to a recorded synopsis of an authentic criminal trial and to make a choice among 4 verdict possibilities. Each participant juror then deliberated with another juror whose verdict choice differed, as a microcosm of a full jury’s deliberation. Analysis of the transcripts of these deliberations revealed both characteristics general to the sample ...
متن کاملHow consistent are class size effects?
Thus far researchers have focused on computing average differences in student achievement between smaller and larger classes. In this study, the author focus on the distribution of the small class effects at the school level and compute the inconsistency of the small class effects across schools. The author use data from Project STAR to estimate small class effects for each school on mathematic...
متن کاملHow Consistent are Cognitive Impairments in Patients with Cerebellar Disorders?
Many human lesion und functional brain imaging studies suggest involvement of the cerebellum in cognitive functions. However, negative and inconsistent findings are rarely discussed. It is still an open question as to which areas of cognition the cerebellum contributes, as well as how, and to what extent. Frequently cited earlier findings in one area of cognition have been challenged in more re...
متن کاملTest of the Hypothesis That One Group of Dependences is Consistent with Another Group of Dependences
In this paper we describe the basic algorithmic characteristics of the test of the hypothesis that one group of dependences is consistent with another group of dependences for a case when the error disturbances of this data have normal distribution. Unpaired and paired versions are presented. The aim of our work was to find effective algorithms for biomarker identification in mass (MS) or Raman...
